Fun with Rhymes: Down by the Bay

These past few weeks our phonics lessons have often involved rhyming.  Rhymes are lots of fun and the students really enjoy rhyming songs.  We read and sang the classic rhyming song, Down By the Bay, and the students even made their own silly rhymes and put them together in a book.  We decided to make a video of the students performing their rhymes...it's pretty silly!  Always a hilarious topic with first graders, many of the students loved to make rhyming things "kiss" each other. ;)  Some of the students were camera shy and did not want to say their rhyme on video.  Hope you enjoy our silly song!
