Meet Our Wonderful Classroom Associate, Mrs. Sharp

We are very lucky to have an associate in our classroom this year, Bambi Sharp.  She is amazing and a wonderful addition to your child's learning experience.  I asked her to write a little something to introduce herself...

                                                  Meet Mrs. Sharp

Hello, my name is Bambi Sharp (Mrs. Sharp) and I am excited to be working with the first graders this year. I have worked with most of them since Preschool.
A little bit about me........
I grew up in a small town of Hillsboro, Iowa until I was 13. Then we moved to Seymour, Iowa where I graduated high school. I met my husband there, while I was a Sophomore. We got married in 1998. I had my first son in 2002, Brody, then four years later in 2006 came my fireball, Blake, both boys are very active in sports and community activities like 4-H and Awanas. In 2004, I started my own home childcare business and started my college career at the same time. I received my Child development and  Associate of Arts with Early Childhood emphasis from  Southwestern Community College taken all on-line classes. I then, decided to close my childcare, because my own children were both in school and follow my passion to teach. I became employed with the Chariton School District as a Preschool paraprofessional in the Special Education room. At the same time, I return to college to finish my Major in Elementary Education with concentration in Reading and Special Education with Graceland University on the Centerville campus. I will be student teaching this January. I am beyond excited to soak up all the knowledge and hands-on experiences from all the children I can, as well as, from Mrs. Kampf. Although the school years has just begun, I feel like I have learned lots from just assisting the students and observing some wonderful educators work with your children. It is a great privilege to work with each of these children. As they are learning and growing, I am too.

Feel free to stop me in the halls or out in the community and introduce yourself to me. I already know most of your children rather well and would love to get to know all of you.
